replying about a prior post, travel coaches don't go after college positions for similar reasons "real business" leaders don't go into politics. Too public, to crazy, tooooo little pay, budget issues, pressure to be on top, too much stress on their families, and the list goes on and on.
Just imagine if the top leaders like Alan Mullaly (Ford) or Jack Welch (GE) or you name some from the Fortune 500 would run this country!!! But.... oh, never mind. Whoa now, I'm in no way saying travel coaches could trump collegiate coaches or that a college is "settling". This is just a thought that came to my mind (mini-hi-jack). I am curious to see what the birthing grounds of coaches is, playing college then working into a job, moving from triple A baseball, travel coach to college, or what...? Food for thought.
