Last year I gave my best guess of who would finish where, picking Clear Fork to win it all.
This year I will pick Orrville. Lot's of new faces with all the seniors gone.
Lexington will have a new pitcher-catcher combination that played travel ball for the Sting Rays. My travel team faced the new pitcher from Orrville, so I know they are loaded. Ashland has a new young pitcher from Travel ball. I know Madison returns some talented players. It will be interesting how Clear Fork handles all the seniors they lost. All 3 pitchers are gone from last years talented team. I know they have a good catcher, with power from the left side this year. Plus they have a pitcher they picked up as a transfer from Ashland. Wooster always has some good players moving up. West Holmes has a very good coach, so not sure what she will have to build on. Any other news?

I had the honor of coaching West Holmes in their winter ball league for coach Chen. They are young but if a team makes mistakes against them they will hurt you.

We picked up two seniors that didn't play last year that gives us depth. One use to play for the sting rays and played for me when she was younger that is a HR threat and a good power hitter. If everyone stays healthy we could have a very good year.

Looking forward to the first scrimmage tomorrow. Dan, tried to PM you but it said your inbox was full and you needed to delete some before any PM's would go through.

Sorry this new site is giving me issues. So Slow I get kicked out before I can edit. The next few scrimmages will let us know where we stand. I'm excited with all the big sticks we have this year and kids willing to learn.

Orrville had 3 seniors graduate, 2 full time starters and 1 part timer. The pitcher came back from a private school and a girl moved in from out of state she is a very good player. They also have a very good freshman that plays travel ball shes a pitcher and can play alot of other positions. She has the freshman syndrome of trying impress people on every play and she doesnt need to. Once she settles in she will be fine. The bad news is the catcher has some knee issues. She is getting an MRI today her 2nd in 4 weeks. She was 2nd team all conference last year as a soph that would be a huge loss.

I did see the pitcher from Ashland at the Spano dome she looked really good.

CF will always be in the hunt. I dont know who CF will have pitch but they will probably be ok.

CF, pitcher transferred in from Ashland, last year's starting Ashland Pitcher. Catcher plays 18U travel ball for me.
Orrville, the pitcher that transferred in played for the Ashland Blaze at Shreve ? , if she did , she didn't last long, we run ruled them this summer. Going to be interesting we have a scrimmage again tonight against a local power house, so we are still getting the bugs out.

Please stop. This forum is not about promoting your team. Look around. The people who post regularly don't blatantly promote their team. And they don't blatantly embarrass another team. One of two things will happen, no one will read your posts or people will turn against you and become even more outspoken than me. I decided to post this here hoping you will take the advice in the spirit given with fewer people reading and judging than on a post that would attract more views.

Scrimmages are just that, nothing more... Don't get too wound over them, they are for feeling out the cobwebs and teaching moments to get the ladies ready for the season. 35 games is a long way from now and strange things can happen. Just sit back, relax and enjoy your daughters time playing.....

Hillarddad3 is correct. We have had two scrimmages and I couldn't even tell you the score, since no one kept it. We use it as a practice and move kids in places they might never play this year. I get a chuckle, as a coach, when people post scores on scrimmages.
