The late game at Armco Park Field #3 was rather interesting as the left fielders from both teams had to keep one eye on the ball and another out for cars driving through the outfield. It seems the pee wee football teams practice behind that field and many of the football parents just drove right through the playing field. Several parents formed a human wall to prevent the cars from driving directly across the field. I saw 1 fielder who had to run out of the way of a car who's driver apparently had no clue there was a game going on or that girls were on that field. This is one field that could do with some temporary fencing. One driver did stop to wait for a ball hit to deep left and for the fielder to retrieve it. Hope I never see anything like it again. Unbelievable!

That's awful! We played there earlier today & had a few questionable calls about the out of play areas, but nothing like this. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

Ohio Classics 12u (Purple) 1 seeds. Tied with Gamblers 1st game (I was at work during this game blamed the wife oh well). Beat Blue wave 10 to 0 and beat Valley Sting 6 to 0. Very good ball being played here All 3 of these teams are to be respected. umpiring seems very good so far. Some close calls that I feel the umpires made the right decision. Coach Moorehead always puts on a great weekend. More ball to be played Saturday!!!!

Any updates on the Classics or Ohio Lady Liberty 14U?

Lady liberty won their 3rd pool game and was a #2 seed and just played the classics 14u. Classics won and play at riverside at 3:00. I believe the lady liberty now plays at 9:30 tonight.

U12 Miami Valley Vipers took #2 seed in Gold pool and won their first two games in bracket play! According to Gannon....good teams and great play all over the place!

14u Diamond girls 3. Classics 14u 1 in 4 innings (games shortened to 4 innings or 1 hour due to rain delays)

The 4 innings were a disappointement & it would have been nice to have the whole hour instead, but at least we got to play. The 14U Classics play @ 7:30 am against the winner of the Buckeye Heat v. Crushers game that was scheduled for 10:15 pm tonight.

In 14U, I believe the Tri State Patriots put the GFOD into the Gold loser's bracket, but not sure of the score.

lots of good softball being played...cant do anything about the rain or delays (or even the city crew)...weather is hot, muggy, and there's good ball being played everywhere...

Things are going well here in ZANES. Only issue was the 55min play. Some of those teams could have used the whole time. But like it was stated before ( Just glad to be playing). The morning might be different. ( lots of Rain Coming). Good luck to all the Teams !!!!

Back home already without playing any games :'( Due to the rain, if you were in the loser's bracket, you were done in 14U Gold. Hope the rain clears & the teams still in the winner's bracket will get the games in. There was great competition in the 14U at this tournament & some good games were played. Sad to see it end on a rainout.
