Fort Recovery softball coaches arrested for murder

PORTLAND, Ind. — Two softball coaches from Fort Recovery High School have been charged with murder in the death Sunday of an Indiana man.

Esther J. Stephen, 31, and Shelby N. Hiestand, 18, both of Portland, Indiana, were arrested Tuesday for the murder of Shea Briar. They are currently being held in the Jay County, Indiana, jail without bond.

Man this is crazy, how could someone this unstable be able to be a head Coach of a High School Team .

We discussed it with my DD hitting coach when it happened. The Ladies were an item and appears wanted the older ladies child from her previous marriage.

How come I’m not surprised. The one young lady was only 18 years of age at the time of the murder and she was hanging out with a 28 year old. I seen one story about another girls being charged beside these two. But I couldn’t find any more information on her.
