OHIO THUNDER 2019/20 Tryouts!!!

Ohio Thunder Softball is entering their 10th year of existence. Since 2015, our first year with a Senior class, we have 50 girls who have played College Softball or are committed to play after graduation. Very impressive numbers with only 6 teams who have reach that point (97, 98, 99, 00, 01, & 02 teams)!

Ohio Thunder is committed to teaching the game of softball, helping to make quality young ladies, & preparing the girls to play at the next level, as they desire. Our track record speaks for itself...

Tryouts Dates for Ohio Thunder for the 2019/2020 season -
All Tryouts are taking place at Heritage Oak Park, 4601 US 42, Mason, Ohio
Registration is in rear of park near field #4.
August 1st - 6:00pm Registration begins at 5:15
August 3rd - Noon Registration begins at 11:15
August 7th - 6:00pm Registration begins at 5:15
August 10th - 4:0opm - if any teams still need players

We will have at least one team in each age division, as well as multiple teams in a few divisions. Coach will be officially announced as this season ends.

Make sure you arrive early enough so your DD is warmed up. Also, make sure to bring plenty of water, & all equipment needed (glove, bat, cleats, etc.). Pitchers & Catchers will be asked to stay after each tryout to be evaluated. Please be prepared to catch for your Pitcher if needed.

We are looking for hard working young ladies to add to our core roster! Def looking for another Pitcher, Solid IF, Quick OF. We love Speed, Power, & Slappers!!! We have a versatile team and want to continue with that approach!​

Chip Gregg will officially be taking over the new Ohio Thunder 07 team! He is excited to get this team moving! He is looking forward to seeing many girls at tryouts! This team will be coached by ALL NON PARENT Coaches! His assistants will be at 8/1 tryout & he will be at all others!

Short Bio - Gregg was at Northern Kentucky University for 14 years where he served as the teams hitting and pitching coach. In 2005, NKU won 55 consecutive games which is an all-time, all-division NCAA record. During his time there, NKU produced several NCAA All -Americans including the NCAA div II player of the year. Gregg’s travel teams have won over 1000 games including State and World championships. Gregg holds several coaching certifications including the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s 4 Star Master Coach. Gregg has directed/instructed 100+ camps and clinics.​
