It?s hard to believe that summer games have finally come to a close and school is just around the corner?and some of you have already started! As you begin preparing for fall tryouts for teams and organizing your fall schedules, I wanted to send you information about our fall camp dates! We are really looking forward to the variety of camps we are offering this fall and hope that you will be able to join the Bobcats for skill work and game play at our upcoming camps! Check out the chart below to see all of the camps we are offering as well as a brief description in regards to age, dates, and instruction. Grades 9th-12th ONLY
? Hitting, Defense, Baserunning, & Game Play Situations
? As part of a community service project, Ohio Softball is encouraging all participants to bring at least 1 ?school supply? item during registration. Ohio Softball will be running a School Supply Drive to donate supplies to local Elementary school students who are in need of supplies.

As part of a community service project, Ohio Softball has partnered with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization and is encouraging all participants to bring at least 1 ?Big Brothers Big Sisters Needs List? item during registration. Ohio Softball will be participating in an event with Big Brother, Big Sisters and would like to help their organization continue to support youth. Hitting Academy 1
Mondays: Aug 31, Sept 14, 21, & 28
6:30-8:30
Grades 9th-12th ONLY
Max: 20 participants
? FIRST EVER HITTING ACADEMY!!
? This hitting academy will prepare hitters in three phases: the physical, the emotional and the mental aspects of the game. In the first phase, the athletes will be challenged to prepare for their mental approach to hitting through various forms of information. In a classroom setting, coaches will teach hitters how to mentally prepare for their approach at the plate through various tools which include: pitchers stats, videos, strengths and weaknesses of both pitchers and hitters, understanding various counts and how to make in-game adjustments at the plate. The second phase of hitting will allow the athletes to work hands on with hitting drills that identify with the specific aspect of hitting discussed in the classroom. Through the drills, the athletes will gain a better understanding of the purpose of each drill and how it can better transfer to game like situations. In the last phase, the athletes will be challenged physically and emotionally through a cross-fit, high interval training workout.

This will provide coaches with the opportunity to receive important hitting information during each classroom setting and drill segment which will help enhance their high school and travel ball programs.
