Tryouts for Ohio Wave 14u (Shaffer) will be tomorrow (August 7) and Sunday (August 8) from noon to 2pm. The location is at Stebbins Field in Greenville, OH.
This team offers a few unique opportunities including non-parent coaching, an indoor facility, and fundraising efforts to lower playing costs. None of the coaches have any connection to any individual player, and we are completely volunteer-based. The Academy, located in Greenville, will be used for practices through the winter season.
Ohio Wave will be fielding three 14u teams next season, one of which will be coached by myself and Haley Hawk. My name is Karsyn Shaffer, and I am a recent graduate of Muskingum University where I played softball. Haley is a current player at Muskingum entering her senior season. Haley and I decided to get into coaching for the right reasons: to share our love for the game, lead individuals to better themselves, and above all, to have fun while competing. We will also be assisted by Shawn Shaffer who is extremely knowledgable and active in the programs surrounding Greenville softball.
Please come check us out and bring a friend along with you! We expect to be highly competitive and have a great amount of softball knowledge to share with your daughter.
