The plans for next season first annual Panther Pre-season Classic at Rolf Park is coming along nicely! We are getting a tremendous response from all over. We'd like to have a great "mix" of different leagues represented, to make it a true highlight event, and also avoid putting a bunch of teams in that traditionally play each other pre and regular season. PLEASE inform your high school coaches or AD about this event, which will occur the last weekend PRIOR to the regular season. This event will have a full 7 inning scrimmage on friday night, 3 hour scrimmage with 2 teams on saturday, this will always take place the last weekend before the regular season begins as determined by OHSAA.
We are taking a poll, would Coaches prefer the event:
1. to be 24 varsity teams
2. 12 Varsity and their JV teams, Greenville does the varsity, but we thought it might be neat to have the JV teams playing on opposite fields to let coaches have better access to their younger players.
We want this to be an annual premier event, will have food, shirts etc. We are hoping to get more recoginition for the NWO area. Please respond to jphall@bex.net
Thought we'd list SOME of the schools who have shown interest: SUA, Sylvania Southview, Notre Dame, Archibold, Eastwood, Findlay, Otsego, Woodmore, Wauseon
to name a few, AGAIN, we'd love to have teams from all over the area, even far down as columbus!
