A weekend is being added to the schedule to make up for the BLIZZARD OF '08.

Boy did that one week off for the blizzard hurt! Finally getting my fix after a long winter and BAM it's gone again. Looking forward to some good competition this weekend! Good luck everyone! ;D

Nice game today by the Ohio Emeralds vs Highland. I ate some crow on this one and am big enough to admit it. Unlike whoever sent me the PM last week to which I provided an honest response which required a follow up response that never came.

Very nice job by the young OE starting pitcher and a big hit by another young player late in the game. I think the final was 3-1. To make you feel even better about the win, know that you played against a 14u tournament pitcher for the first two innings and a 12u tournament pitcher the rest of the way. You gave her a taste of what she will see come tourney time with the Chix. You have my respect. I think there may be one other tourney player on Highland but the rest are community 14u players.

There is still the issue of the 14u pitcher not seeing the level of hitter that she would like to prepare herself for regarding tournaments. She was not scored on. The Emeralds on the other hand had the benefit of playing against a 14u tourney pitcher. So the mixed division issue remains but I am certainly still glad to be part of this program.

Eastlake Crush CRUSHED Highaland 9-1. Great game offensively but by far the biggest play was by pitcher (Spellman?) who made a sliding catch of a short popup and then doubled up the runner at second to end the inning. Very aggressive play with her head in the game. I'm eating more crow...... ;D

Great game played between wadsworth red and the emeralds black unfortunatly emeralds came up a little short losing 5-4. Very well played game.

We caught the end of the Emeralds Green vs Wadsworth good game but Emeralds seemed to be out coached
and the pitcher who pitched last for the Emeralds was fast "BUT" all over could not get the ball over the plate. :'(
The Wadsworth pither seemed to have her "A" stuff that day
It looked like Emeralds had good Bats 3 girls just about hit the wall and Wadsworth had coaches that were smarter
with girls on base.
All in all a hard fought game...Congrats Wadsworth we will see you this summer

Daddy wishes he had a team playing in this Pinnacle league, nobody here seems to be getting along. From what I can see the Ohio Emeralds Black seems to be the cream of the crop of the 12u teams. Emeralds teams have historicaly played up in winter seasons. But the rest of the 14u teams in this league you better get your wins now my guess is none of you guys will be smelling a championship game this season unless its in some B class tournament.
