In 16U, one of the best games (okay, it's biased since it was only 1 of 2 that I saw) of the tourney was Classics Black over Ill. Thunder 6-5 in 13 innings...There were enough blown calls, tough plays, double plays, close plays and drama for an entire weekend, it's just a shame someone had to lose...The game winning hit was a liner back to the pitcher that bounced off her glove on a 1-2 count, with 2 outs, and this girl (lefty, tall,)
was smokin high fastballs for the last 5 innings or so...way to go Classics!

In 12U, I did catch the end of Lasers Silver over Orlando No Fear 4-1...there was lots of talk about "Hometown" cookin towards the umps, but you know how these games go, especially when it comes down to a few runs and a few close calls...Plus, you say too much, Laser Nation will find you :-X

I just looked at the brackets in 12U and unless I am reading it incorrectly, the Tigerlillies from Ohio upset the Pittsburgh Spirit gold. Could somebody verify this and the score please.

This team (Blaze) showed a lot of promise at the beginning of the year, but now the roster is down to 9 or 10 unless they bring along the 11 year olds and things aren't looking real good.
