In the winners bracket final the Nightmare edged Ohio Ice Richards 2-1 on a bases loaded double by Amanda Abbruzzese in the bottom of the last inng. This set up the championship final where the Ice with some timely hitting were able to take the first game 6-3.

This set up the winner take all game for the NSA State championship. The Ice came out fast taking a 3-0 lead, but the Nightmare battled back and in a hard fought game and won the NSA State Championship 5-3

Congratulations to both team for providing a weekend of some very exciting and competitive games and representing the sport the way it should be represented.

Good Luck to the Nightmare next week at the ASA State Championships.

Very good games in the 10u by 4 diff' teams , Lasers were top dogs ( they take fastpitch pretty serious Doom was edged out in a tight game, Jackson Purple Crush really fought hard, their bats had been quiet until the last inning when they rallied from 3 down to tie the Wild Thangs . Won in ITB. Doom-Wild Thang game was like 2-0 or 1-0. Purple Crush 5-4 over WT's. Did'nt get a final on the Lasers -Crush , maybe some of those lurkers from Laser nation can help me out. All in All there was a bunch of fine softball played by these young ones. MD

Congratulations to the JACKSON TWISTERS AND THE SUMMIT RAGE. They finished 1. 2 in the 18U bracket this weekend. Jackson came back from loosing their first two games Friday, to take the 1st on Sunday. GREAT JOB LADIES.

You guys really play hard and you had a great run at states to get back to the championship game. It was very hot and you played 3-4 games Sunday.....We've been there as well and it's hard to play that many and not run out of gas at the end.
