Does anyone have any experience with the sleeve you put over your bat to decrease the chance of damaging it during pre-game warm-ups? I think the product is called a "Tuff Sleeve".

Some news on the Easton Synergy. ?I just purchased one of these bats online for the going rate of $229.00. ?Today I was out and about doing some softball spike shopping with my daughter and stopped by Ritchies Sporting Goods in Tallmadge Oh. ?When I started asking the salesperson about the Easton Synergy bats I was told that he would get them in and sell them with very little profit on his part at the unbelievable price of $175.oo each. ?This is a great deal and the cheapest price I found them anywhere else is what I paid for my daughters. ?I told them I would spread the word around so those of you out there interested may want to check out Ritchies. ?Address: 137 South Ave., Tallmadge Oh. 44278

The best way to get a good price on an Anderson bat is to call the company directly. ?Last years my daughter's team had several girls (dads) that wanted the bat. ?We called
and ended up with an order for 16. ?The price was $160. each.
This year when my daughter went to a different team, and a few girls tried out her bat we called Anderson again. We worked out a great deal for bats, bags, visors, batting gloves, and tshirts for less than the price of a bat from most of the suppliers. ?We ordered a ton of stuff, but everything they sold us was top notch. ?The total price for everything was $200 per player. ? My only caution is to make sure your kid can hit with it. ?You can buy refurbished bats to try out in the cage for a couple of bucks, and they are good to have on hand to hit dimpled balls.

I have a Anderson Rocket Tech and it is great. i have had many bats and used many other bats from teammates, but the Rocket Tech is still the best. I hope you have the same luck as I did.

Does anyone have any input "good or bad" on the air chamber bats by louisville slugger and others. ?This sounds like a good way to generate power. ?Is the warrior bat better than the air warrior? ?You don't hear alot about these bats. ?Ideally we would want a Easton Steath or Synergy at -11 0r -12. ?A 31/19.5-20 would be perfect. ?Can these be ordered through Easton?

my daughter used the louisville slugger tps air response for a few weeks a two summers ago. it had good pop for the 1st two weeks or so then DEAD! We typically have had no success with tps. Rocket tech and synergy are by far the best with my daughter liking both equally.

Everybody talks about the RocketTech end loaded bats. But does anyone have experience with the newer balanced model that is a -11oz. Was wondering if the power is the same. Also is anyone using these bats in NW Ohio where some of the early games can be in the low 40's. Anderson doesn't recommend using the bat under 50 degrees.

Thanks

Policy has been as long as the bat is legal for ASA, then the bat is legal for HS. As of right now there hasn't been anything out that says anything about the RT FP '04 being banned by ASA. NSA at the moment has both RT FPs on the approved list.

? Both of my daughters love the Catalyst bat.... didn't like the Rocket tech because it was end-loaded. Have seen alot of hard balls come off the Catalyst as well.... but like people have said before, you have to have correct technique or it doesn't matter what bat you use....

as a umpire for close to 20 years, the last two I have had 6 different instances where the pitcher was struck by the ball coming off these "hot" Rocket Tech bats. One 12u pitcher was struck in the face and required to have the gash sewn up. This past High shool season a freshman girl was hit in the chest. I also found a rockettech bat during inspection that had been in a vise and was flat on both sides. When will all this win at all cost end? I hope that we all wake up before a promising young lady dies. It could be your daughter.......

Any thoughts on The 2007 Synergy, 2007 Catalyst, or the new Miken NRG?

It all comes down to personal preference. Catalyst, Rocket Tec, Miken, Synergy are all very good bats, but if you can try one - using a team mates etc. do so. If you feel more comfortable with a certain one - that is the one you should get.

BIGDAN You have been at it for 20 years! Is the rocket teck the only bat that you have seen someone get hurt with? They been around what 3 years 4 maybe.Heck I seen a kid get nailed with a Wal-mart bat.

My DD's both use Catalyst bats. Both have crushed the ball with them. They both have a ton of pop. I thought the new bat technology wouldn't make that big of a difference, was I wrong. The jump off of the bat is amazing. All of their teammates want to use the bat, or have bough their own. The Synergy is a great bat too. My oldest tried it in tournament when the game was basically over and said it felt good too. But, the bottom line is if they use great technique and connect it is going to go!
