Scoring Question

Ok, here's one that came up in our scrimmage and I wasn't sure how to score it. ?2 Outs, batter hits a ground ball to the Shortstop. ?Shortstop gets run over by the runner going from 2nd to third, Interference, third out. ?How do you score for the batter? ? :-/

Fielder's Choice, since a play wasn't made that allowed them to first...you wouldn't want to award a hit, since a play may have been made without the interference...if the interference would not have led to 3rd out, fielder's choice leaves runner at first...or, if interference is made by fielder (which is not your case), then reached-on-error

Agree, fielder's choice, which is of course an at-bat for the batter.

yeah, the girls always think they get a "hit",
my favorite being "---- got a triple!" cheer on a throwing error! oh well, no need to correct a hormonal 14u player who could as easily beat me to a pulp with her rockettech

What's worse is telling a parent that their daughter did not go 3 for 3 because of 2 errors and a fielders choice. Dad has her batting 1000
