Slammers work out of a tough situation, bases loaded one out. Gave up 2 in the bottom of the 7th. But still come out ahead.

So Cal Jets were beating the Arizona Cats in the 3rd 6 to 0. Then a lightning delay. The Jets forfeited the game because they had girls who had flights to catch so the Slammers are playing the Arizona Cats again. Championship game will start soon.
This is so awesome to see. An OHIO team beating a national rival 11-0 for such a prestigious event. Just more proof that Ohio softball overall is catching up to the left coast. GREAT JOB SLAMMERS, you made us all proud!
Tourney Director made the comment that this is the first Ohio team to win it. Actually believes this may be the first Mid-West team to win it. He had to check. It just goes to show that softball in this area is getting better. This area can compete at this level. Keep working hard!!!!
I think it is WONDERFUL that the Slammers won this!!!!!
But to say that Ohio softball is catching up would only be accurate if most of our players were willing to spend at least 3/4 of the focused, productive time that the Slammers spend perfecting their game. Pretty sure BigTrain would nod his assent.
CONGRATULATIONS SLAMMERS. YOU SHOW US ALL WHAT REALLY HARD AND DISCIPLINED WORK CAN ACCOMPLISH AND WE ARE PROUD THAT YOU REPRESENTED OHIO!!!!!
