I was wondering if anyone has had success reversing the grip on a slapper bat and using it as a balanced righty bat? I have heard that some have tried it.... what are the results?

I know lots of right hand girls who have bought and used the Demarini slapper bat, but none who have reversed the grip first. The Demarini slapper has a longer barrel and was actually recommended to several younger players by the Demarini rep.

thanks gator. If you look close the grips are opposite on those slapper bats. My youngest is a slapper ... i was just thinking about getting one for my oldest DD who is a righty.

The slapper bats are hot, just like the other Demarini offerings. There was a misconception when the bat first came out that you shouldn't swing away with it, but that was bogus. I'd have no qualms about a righty using one. You can still find them really cheap relative to other bats. I paid $150 for a brand new CF9 slapper from a certified dealer.

The grip being wrapped the opposite way makes absolutely no difference. It's not like the original grip lasts very long anyway, so just wrap it either way when it needs replaced.
