Slapper's Bat

My DD has started the art of Slapping... Really started it last year.. but her previous coach did not want anything to do with her or slapping... needless to say, we have a new team and new coach... and they are all for it.

So I am all tossed up on getting a good bat for her to use... yes she may hit away... but it appears at this point she will be slapping most of the time. Should I buy a high $$ bat for slapping or is a double walled bat OK?

i would still have a nice bat so when she is hitting away it will be better.and cant hurt when slapping sometimes you want to power slap anyways if you see 3rd running in in my opinion get a good bat

a good bat with some good pop can even help in slapping.. that power slap will give her extra bases

A stealth works pretty good as you can deaden it or punch it through with minimal effort.

I agree with Hilliard, My DD has been slapping for 5 years now and the stealth has been the best for getting a lot ball action. Drags slaps swinging away that's the best all around bat we have used.

Might try the Halo Lite if your looking for an aluminum bat I have heard really good things from other slappers about that bat.

The worst bat was the Rocketech, she loved the way that bat felt but it was not good.

BTW the more expensive bats get a lot more ball action, The high chopper, the bouncy drag bunt etc. Not sure why that is. She had used a less expensive bat for awhile after her catalyst and it just wasn't the same.

I might also suggest PMing Sbfamily he knows a lot about slapping his input might also be helpful

The Halo Light is a composite bat, not aluminum. Worth makes a Lithium Amp (-12) specifically for slappers, and it is aluminum.

You might try the Halo Light and if your looking for an aluminum bat you might try the Techzilla I have heard really good things from other slappers about that bat.

i like the blue catalyst...DD uses a stealth, but we r looking into switching

Thanks for all the input... we ended up getting an Easton Sv12 with a -11 drop Comb Bat we will see how that does this weekend... when she gets in the cage during practice.... she really like the weight and the feel of the bat. So we will see...
