Social Sites options - user names poll. Real Name or Anonymous?

As we get closer to the next Generation @ OFC on TheSoftballZone.com domain. We really been debating if we want to require Real Names or Anonymous names when you sign up, or give the user the option of making the choice.

Members looking for your feedback on this. What would you all like to use (Real Name) or (Anonymous User Name) as most members currently use?

I think the current way the site is set up would work just as well in a social site setting myself.

I would say give the people the choice, as it has always been on the OFC - While I am not concerned for my self about my opinions, I dont necessarily want MY oponion to be conflated with my Daughter or her organization or school.

Sign up with a real identity, but I would use OFC names on the site. That way it would have a common reference between the two sites.

Softball world is small........people should not be able to post anonymously! Real names!
Now, I know there are times where someone may want to let people know something without letting the community know who it is......there should be a way that they could submit to 1 or 2 Moderators & it then gets posted. That way, there is accountability without general knowledge...........
