SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Brittany Wieland (FR/Alexandria, Va.) of the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University softball team earned WHAC Player of the Week honors following her monster week at the plate, the conference office announced on Monday.
Wieland helped lead the Blue Devils to a 2-2 week as she hit .500 over the four games. She contributed at least one RBI in each of the four games last week, and extended her hit streak to five games as she got a hit in each of her games last week. Wieland finished the week with two (2) homeruns as well and a slugging average of 1.214. This is Wieland's first conference player of the week honor.
