COSTA MESA, Calif. — In game seven of the Golden State Athletic Conference softball tournament, the Blue and Gold (50-10) faced William Jessup University (31-16) for the second time in the competition. The game would be close contested, as both teams and their fans were at their loudest, cheering for their respective teams and maintaining a high level of intensity both on and off the field. Seven innings was not enough to determine who would punch their ticket to the tournament final. The eighth frame decided the champion in a last-second single that worked in favor of the Warriors who walked away with the 3-2 victory. Head coach Beth Renkoski said this tournament was going to allow the team to grow. "It's a building process and we're still trying to get better," she said. "We still have season to go and this tournament is a process of getting better."
