Morgan Krieger was named to the prestigious Google Cloud Academic All-America NAIA softball team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). It is the second straight year Krieger has been named a First Team Academic All-American.

She was one of just four infielders selected to the first team.

The Google Cloud Academic All-America Team is comprised of student-athletes from NAIA institutions, and are selected based on the students' work on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages.

A psychology major, Krieger maintained a 4.0 GPA at St. Ambrose. She advanced to the All-America ballot after earning all-district honors last month.

The corner infielder from Plainfield, Ill., ended her SAU career tied for second in program history with 211 career hits. She also finished second in career doubles (46), second in career RBIs (143) and fifth in career home runs (22).

Krieger earned all-conference honors for the fourth straight season after batting .338 with eight doubles, four triples and four home runs. She drove in 35 runs while scoring 31.

She is the second Bee to earn Academic All-America honors this season, joining Katie Reitz, who was named to the women's soccer second team in the fall.
