After getting blanked 4-0 in the first game of a doubleheader last Friday, La Sierra rebounded with an impressive 3-2 win over No. 11 Hope International in Fullerton, Calif. Elizabeth Pena put the Golden Eagles up early with a three-run home run in the 1st inning, and that proved to be more than enough for Megan Dalton, who scattered seven hits and three walks over seven innings in the circle, allowing just two runs. LSU totaled only three hits in the game, but all came consecutively in the opening frame, culminating in Pena's big blow. On Sunday, the Golden Eagles swept a pair of non-conference games with Puget Sound, winning the opener 9-5 and coming back with an 8-0 victory to improve to 9-8 on the season.
