Marymount California outhit Taylor 10-7 and drew five walks, but the Mariners stranded 12 runners on the base paths and fell just short of extending their postseason run in a 5-4 loss to the Trojans in an elimination game on the second day of the Opening Round of the Southern Oregon Bracket in Medford, Ore. MCU trailed 5-1 before a three-run rally in the 6th breathed new live into the offense, but--emblematic of the entire game--the Mariners could not take advantage of runners in scoring position in their last at bat.
