SPRINGFIELD, MO – The top ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (59-4, 36-0 SAC) and No. 3 Oklahoma City University (60-7, 30-4 SAC) met up in an elimination game at the NAIA Softball World Series. The Stars rallied in the seventh inning to steal the 3-1 win, advancing to the NAIA Championship Game, and ended the Drovers season.

The Stars scored first, scoring once in the top of the first inning, but the Drovers immediately responded with a run in the bottom half of the first inning to tie the game at 1-1. The score remained 1-1 until the Stars hit a two-run homerun in the top of the seventh inning. The Stars sat the Drovers down in order in the bottom of the seventh inning, ending the Drovers historic season.

The Drovers had the bases loaded in three different innings, but were only able to push across the lone run in the first inning.

Emily Cerny (SO/Newcastle, OK) pitched all seven innings, allowing three runs (two earned), and she struck out a pair of batters in the loss.

Keely Kingsley (SR/Oklahoma City, OK) led all Drovers at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance. Kristen Prieto (JR/Moore, OK) finished 1-for-2 with a double and a pair of walks.
