WHEELING, Ill. – The Trojans of Trinity International University (Ill.) put a little scare into the unbeaten Olivet Nazarene University softball team in game two of their doubleheader on Tuesday, April 2. After coming away with a decisive 9-1 win in the opener, the Tigers found themselves tied through regulation in the nightcap. Miranda Southall (JR/Wilmington, Ill.) and Alyssa Pusateri (SR/Bourbonnais, Ill.) took matters into their own hands in the top of the eighth inning for ONU, Southall opening the inning a triple and Pusateri following it up four batters later with a two-run home run to left field to lift the Tigers to an 8-5 win. ONU is now 10-0 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play.
