The Week of March 4 - 10 in Review


La Sierra swept San Diego Christian last week, giving the Golden Eagles three wins against the Hawks in a six-day span. The two victories improved LSU's record to 6-8 in the preseason. The two teams split a doubleheader on March 1 in Riverside, Calif., and the pair of games played last Wednesday in Santee, Calif., was a rescheduled game from a February rain out. The Golden Eagles swept the Hawks with scores of 8-3 and 10-2. In the first game, Taylor Ross went 3x4 and drove in three to pace LSU's 10-hit attack. Taylor Brooks went 2x3 and drove in a pair of runs while Arianna Rivas added a two-run home run in the 4th. The offense kept rolling in the second game, this time a 12-hit team effort paced by Brooks, Kallie Sorenson, and Emily Mulcahey, who each finished with two hits. Ross brought home three runners with a two-run single and a groundout.
