[Softball] Tigers even conference record with Saturday sweep
Skyelar Houston pounded the ball and Hannah Morton shut down Shawnee State University as Georgetown College softball took game one 6-2. The Tigers struggled to find hits in game two against SSU Saturday, but Megan Brankamp kept the Bears mostly quiet until GC manufactured enough offense for a 5-2 win.
This evens Georgetown's Mid-South Conference record at 2-2, improving to 16-7 overall.
Houston ignited her team from the clean-up spot, tagging McKenzie Whittaker for three hits, three RBIs and a run. The only time the visitor's retired her was in the bottom of the sixth in her final at bat.
