Winter Haven, Fla. – Olivet opened up play in Florida by splitting games in their double-header against Southeastern University. In the first game, the Tigers took an early lead when Kelly Rinker (SR/St. Charles, Ill. ) scored on a single by Kate Landis (SO/Beecher, Ill.). Landis would be the biggest offensive contributor in this game by being involved with four of the team's eight runs. The Tigers held Southeastern scoreless until the fourth inning where they would score a single run. The Tigers would respond in the bottom half of the inning with five runs of their own to add to their lead. When combined with a solid pitching performance by Miranda Southall (SR/Wilmington, Ill.), this would be all the Tigers needed to march to victory.
