[Softball] Tigers take a pair from the Knights
Hannah Morton took a no-hitter into the seventh, but with two outs Kentucky Christian University played a bit of a spoiler. The Knights hit a solo homerun to tie the game. However, Morton collected herself and pitched four more innings in a 3-1, 11-inning win of game one with the Knights.
The Tigers (26-13, 12-8) took two Friday from Mid-South Conference newcomer KCU (9-26, 4-14). Morton went the distance, scattering two hits with one earned run and 10 strikeouts. Hannah Howes delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 11th. Her single scored Corrin Robinson, on as the international tiebreaker, and Abigail James, reached on a bunt single. Before that, Morton was the only run for the Tigers with a solo home run to lead off the third.
