MONTREAT, N.C. – Montreat softball's Cailin Warner is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2019 season, and Montreat's second Pitcher of the Week honor.
Warner recorded a complete-game shutout for a 3-0 win against Columbia International in the Cavaliers' conference opener on Mar. 7.
The Portland, Ore. native allowed just one hit and three walks in her seven innings of work while striking out a career-high 14 batters en route to her fourth win of the season.
In her junior season, Warner currently has 44 strikeouts in 39.2 innings pitched.
