The Sparta Summer Shootout 08 is still looking for 5 teams to complete there brackets. The deadline is only a couple weeks away. Here is some information about this tournament.
Sparta Summer Shootout 2008
16 and Under A.S.A. Eastern National Qualifier
June 13th ? 15th, 2008 located in Sparta, Ohio
We have made some changes from the previous Shootout Tournaments. The biggest change is the Champion will receive a berth for the A.S. A. 16U Eastern National Tournament. With this berth being awarded we have decided to hold only one age division to allow as many as 16 teams to compete. I was only given one early weekend and that is why we have only one age division.
The ?Shootout? will still have an 8 game guarantee (weather permitting). The championship team will receive the A.S.A. 16U Eastern National Berth, Championship T-shirts, 1st place medals and team trophy. 2nd place will receive 2nd place medals and team trophy. 3rd place will receive 3rd place medals and team trophy. 4th place will receive team trophy. We will have 200? fences this year. 2 umpires whenever possible. A 1 hour and 30 minute time limit during pool play until the Championship and 3rd place game which will be untimed. We are going to allow teams to bat 10 players and play nine in the field.
The ?Shootout? is located in Sparta, Ohio. It is within a half block of the intersections of St. Rt. 229 and St. Rt. 314. It is less than 15 minutes from I-71 coming from Columbus or Cleveland. It is about 20 minutes from Mt. Vernon, Ohio for those coming in on St. Rt. 229.

Five days left until our deadline and we haven't filled out our brackets. I just don't understand this. Did we do something to drive people away from this once fast filling tournament? If you know of a reason, I am very interested to know why. Below is a list of what you get with this tournament:
