The pools & brackets are now available directly from the Stingrays website - http://www.stingraysfastpitch.com

The scores will be entered as they come in during the tournament, so the brackets will be updated LIVE from the fields.

Bill and Bryan, not only does the teams entered look as great as always, but I love the look of the pool and bracket websites, and it will be exciting to see the pools and brackets updated as live as possible.

I noticed on the Stingrays page that each team is hyperlinked, will those pages eventually have some sort of information on them?

I'll ask Bryan. That is where we keep the top secret scouting reports on the different teams, yea, that's it. ;)

That is the goal long-term; the exact content is up to the coaches, as they can choose what information to show on their particular page. I know if you click on the 18U-Pohlman team, you can view their schedule, team roster & player profiles; 18U-Marcum has the tournament schedule & tourney photo galleries. The 12U-Caton & 11U-Douglass pages also have quite a few pictures & game information.

Congrats to RC and the rest of the team. I look forward to seeing what you do the rest of the weekend, and even more to see you when the Southern Rays come on up for the NSA World Series!!

Hey, I was actually referring to the teams on the pool play schedule. They are all hyperlinked (http://08tourney.stingraysfastpitch.com/node/35) and when you click on them it gives you a message that reads: "Access denied
You are not authorized to access this page." I just wondered if each team's results were going to be put on those pages or something.

I think this is a great addition to the best tournament in the Midwest (in my completely, 100% unbiased opinion ;-))

Ah, those links. There's more coming, but I'll wait on the details until things are finished. It'll be a 'wait and see' ;D

The 'You are not Authorized' message has been removed, as I have been able to apply the updates to the site to generate the additional information I was looking for. Right now, the only visible item is the team's first Pool game; however, that top table will automatically update with the next game the team will play, once their game score is reported in.

Additionally, as games are concluded, a log of games that the team played will be listed. Right now, that table does not show up either (of course).

Hopefully, this will help consolidate a variety of information on each team in a single page. My hope is that it will provide useful to the teams/parents through the weekend.

I concur, that is a very cool addition to the site. Keep up the work on improving what is already one of the best tournaments around!!

Great Tournament and great Finals. Grand Slam played late into the evening being knocked to the losers bracket 1-0 in the winners bracket final. The rallied to win X2 over the same team and take the championship.

The 16U was equally as exicitng - the final of the winners bracket was Nightmare and Valley Extreme Blue with Nightmare winning 1-0 in an international tie breaker.

Valley Extreme then battled back to win the losers bracket and face Nightmare in the Championship.

The first game went to Valley Extreme 5-1. The next game went to the Nightmare 6-4.

Both teams had excellent pitching, defense and offesne. The 16U didn't finish (due to rain delays until after 11:30pm - the girls on both teams displayed good sportsmanship and friendliness depite the tough day of compeittion and long (due to weather delays) day.
The Stingrays did an excellent job trying to accomodate the weather delays, etc. Overall fantastic tourament.

Mother Nature blessed us with some Orb in the sky yesterday, as one day seemed to just roll into the next. Was able to see some great ball being played, in between field prep, cart driving and all of the fun things you get to do when working these, but it really seemed the girls and parents seemed to be able to enjoy themselves at a first class facility. I was able to meet many of the softball community during the cart drives in and out of the park. Great job to all of the Ray's families who spent many many hours putting this together and as everyone knows by how many coaches were in attendance, the exposure for the girls can't be measured.

I too would like to Congratulate to all of the winners of the divisions this year, as the ladies all worked hard playing during some long days for them and lastly to Rudy Zych the TD who did everything this week except plunge a toilet I think!
