The 12U Cincy Slammers are heading to the PGF Midwest Showcase this year in Chicago, so will not be at the tournament, but intend to play in the future. I just saw the post for the Sun Dogs. I agree with the other posts, your team should have gotten in. You have a great team and good luck this season! You might want to check out the PGF Midwest Showcase in Chicago. The Beverly Bandits and Wasco Diamonds, who are the top teams in IL, are playing. We have never played them and hope to match up with them in pool or bracket play. Outside of the ASA Northern Nationals in St Louis, we've never played west of Indy. We are going to Chicago twice this year, U11 for Sparks and U12 with the Midwest Showcase. I can share our experience after we play those tournaments. Good luck to all the teams playing Stingrays.

Should be a very good event. Last year was 14u-18u and had several very good team in all age groups. Also, be sure you make the short trip over to watch some games at the Demarini Invite (about 20min away). One of the best events in the Country and amazing to see the number of D1 Colleges walking around. Your girls will love it if they love softball!

Looks like another strong year for Stingrays! Loved the event the 3yrs we played.

Was this Midwest Showcase your pick over the stingrays tournament? I saw your name on the applicant list, I was just wondering if you found this tournament to go to instead of Stingrays or if it was the backup plan. Looks like both will be good tournaments and great experiences for the girls.

Looks like a great field of teams at 16u. I'm surprised the Mason Thunder 99 didn't get in though. Last year at the Dayton Metro they had a great tournament. Took 2nd place and beat three great teams all in the same day; Stingrays, Classics 99, and Lasers Purple.

How are the teams selected for this tourney?
