Any truth to the rumor that Hudson,Falls,Stow moving to the suburban league?

 ... News to me, since our NOC league realignments are rolling in for next year (basketball at least). I can hardly remember which division of that conference we are in from year to year, sport to sport?? - they morph right before your very eyes. Interesting concept though, which appears to have merit, and keeps competition even & interest high.

My understanding there would be 2 divisions Falls,Hudson,Stow,Highland,Wadsworth in 1 and Green,Tallmadge,Copley,Revere,Cloverleaf in other-I believe the divisions are broken down by D-1 schools,D-2 schools. Highland D-1?

My source said that they may be trying to bring back the old Metro League of the 80's with Stow, Hudson, Cuyahoga Falls, etc.

the metro league of the 80's did not have Hudson in it, as Hudson was in the Suburban League. The old Suburban League form the 80's was:

Highland
Copley
Revere
Norton
Green
Wadsworth
Hudson
Field

This is pretty wild! Had heard from the basketball coaches that the realignment was already set for the next 2 years for Girls Basketball, within the NOC. Believe those "micro-alignments" are 2 year deals ... so are we talking several years down the road then, if this happens. I wouldn't have a problem with it from a Hudson perspective, some very good teams to align with and some good rivalries in various sports.

Also, pretty happy with it the way it is also though.

When I talked to the Asst Principal in early May the only schools to make application to the Suburban Leauge at that time were Nordonia, Norton, & Orrville.

When Norton left & Barberton came in the other schools under consideration at that time were Lake & Nordonia. Lake had yet to reapply for the Barberton vacancy as of the beg of May.

IMO, the best team for the league would be Nordonia. http://www.nordoniaissue48.org/ New Athletic Complex and their demographics are a good fit for the league.

I have heard no talk of breaking the Suburban League into 2 divisions.

Yeah - I'm tooting my own horn. Nordonia is in the Suburban League.

It will be a good fit. I also thought that adding Stow and Hudson to the mix would be good also. But the ads wanted to keep the leaque small, maybe bigger isn't better.
