The Browns even being in the superbowl would be the biggest Hell Freezes Over moment in pro sports ever.

I think the NFL needs to change the name to the SBL because it seems everyone forgets the NFL started in the 20's. That's one thing I love talking to hockey and baseball fans, all of the history is involved in the discussion, not just the naming of a dang trophy. It was nice for once being quizzed on a hockey team I follow and their history. I think I sshocked the person when I actually knew it.

If you're a fan of something, you best know the history...all of it, you hear that Steeler fans? LOL Yes, they started early in the 20's too, not in 1974. And their history is way worse than the Bucks in 1976-1977 and the current Browns.

...And brownsfan, like most Cleveland Browns fans, will stretch any stat as far as they need to in order to show Steelers fans "See, we don't suck as bad after all".

Louuuuu, I've been saying that back in the 80's as well. The funny thing, a couple buddies of mine who were Steeler fans are also NASCAR fans and major fans of the great Dale Earnhardt. I told them since you can disregard history of the Winston Cup since it's now the Sprint Cup and Dale hasn't won jack. They got furious every time I said that....LOL.

How dare you dis' the Intimidator! He was the Greatest. Ever. ;)

The same applies to Richard Petty, but in different ways:

1.) The King just whooped ever'body's arse, whereas #3 won by putting the competition in the wall.

2.) Either way, "things were different, back then". Today, they actually follow the rules - leading to much closer competition. NASCAR doesn't want an obvious runaway favorite because TV ratings are higher when there's competition.

(And I'm not a NASCAR fan. (Racing, in general, yes.) But it is shoved down our throats much like the NFL, so that you can't help having an opinion.)

Louuuu, I failed to mention, those two Steeler fans were Earnhardt fans. Can not disrespect the King like that, but would have if they were.

Love it Pacerdad57....LOL

Back to topic, as I'm not a NASCAR guy (I will watch a few laps of Daytona every year though) or Gaga. I have to disagree with the title of this thread. It wasn't the biggest choke. We all have been part of games, being player, coach, fan or parent that things seem to turn and no matter what, you can't get it going back the way you want it to go. The biggest choke in my opinion, is 16'Warriors and my Beloved Tribe.... They were up 3-1 games, not innings, or pitches, but entire games....Now we can debate who did what and D. Green's ejection, Tito's overuse of Miller, but it remains that these teams got "do-overs" 3 times and could not close out their opponent. I say the those, are the biggest chokes in sport.

MD, being a numbers guy, I have to disagree with that! Being up by 25 points midway thru the 3rd quarter of a football game is far worse. I looked at my ESPN app at that time, and Atlanta was a 99.2% favorite to win. While it is a "choke" to lose a 3-1 lead, the odds are much higher that the team ahead will lose. There are 3 games left and, even if you say the team ahead has a 60% chance to win each game (which is on the high side for baseball), the odds of losing all 3 are 40% x 40% x 40% which equals 6.4%. I would definitely argue that in the case of the Indians, where the odds are so much predicated on the pitching, that a depleted started pitching staff (Carrasco out, Salazar all but out, and Bauer with his drone-damaged hand) is what did in the Indians. And lets face it, the Cubs had a stronger hitting lineup. At best, their odds of winning each of those games was closer to 50% which equates to a 12.5% chance to lose all 3 ... way bigger than 0.8%. I read that there has only ever been 4 times in NFL history where a team came back from a 25 point second half deficit, and there are over 250 games per year in the NFL these days.

There's something in the brain that makes it hard to keep doing whatever it was you did to get a 7 run/3 touchdown/5 stroke lead when there's still half the game to go yet. A lot of times we switch to "protect the lead", which can blow up in our faces.

The Gaga show was pretty poor, I only watched a few seconds, but I deplore when someone calls themselves a singer then has to lip sync the entire show because the dancing is so important....plus I could care less about the entertainer they hired....another very poor show
