We had a meeting today on the clinic putting together the details to hopefully make this the best clinic ever held in this area with two of the best in fast pitch actually doing hands on teaching not just talking about it.
The facility where we are holding the clinic, Weekend with the Gold, Silver and Pink is SWOBAT on Port Union Road in Westchester and they are looking to introduce their facility to the fast pitch community as an indoor facility with two infields and cages to rent. They are also adding the computer pitching machine to allow you to hit off many pitchers that can be programmed into the computer probably by mid October if not before.
They will be starting to advertise the clinic via the local press this week as many do not know about the OFC, hard to believe however it is true.
We anticipate a surge of local players and families from the tri state area to respond so we hope your registration form is in the mail. Spots are starting to fill especially for the pitching so you may not want to put if off much longer or there may not be a spot for you.
Again we are limiting the participation and will cut it off as advertised to keep the clinic's high quality.
There are a lot of people up North who are making the journey South to participate in this once in maybe a lifetime clinic environment of having Jennie and Crystl actually teaching at the same time...we hope to see you there!
I am talking to Crystl about actually having her hit after the clinic as we do for most clinic's, realizing it is an indoor facility so you really don't get the reality of seeing the ball travel over a 300 foot fence like we did at River Shores the year before last....maybe we can get Jennie to pitch...and there is an open field outside the facility, who knows what we can do if the weather is nice outside! We can launch them from the parking lot into the field...for those of you that have been to Slugger Feast...she put them over the road on the field that faces towards State Route 128 into the cornfield...I figure that is about 360 plus feet.
It should be fun! Hope to see you there!
