The Little League Softball World Series

I was flipping through the channels last night and caught the last two inning of The Little League Softball World Series. I notice all of the infielders were wearing face mask, is this a rule in Little League softball?

My DD also notice a coach brought the pitcher a drink of water during a time out on the field, DD about hit the roof saying coach would never bring her a drink on the field. Had to laugh told maybe her college coach would do that for her.

I'm not sure its a rule but glad they did, the first baseman took a shot that about took her head off it looked like. Wish more girls wore them on TV.

One of the teams the whole team wears them, including outfield. The coaches encourage it, but don't mandate it.
