To me, this shows no class.

I can distinctly remember my first year of "travel" baseball in Toledo (city) as a 7th grader, played some tough tough kids, from different areas. I remember the Catcher of this one team saying the usual stuff ... easy out, no hitter, etc., .... but then he talked bad about "my mama" ...... ?? WHAT?!? .... really?

My Mama had passed away the previous year. I was dealing with it still a little, but overall, it went from shocking to absurd to competitively comical, eventually. What could this jack-arse know about "my mama"?

I have always felt that for a very very select few, they may make a living or "partial" living from sport that they love, or maybe some college assistance of some type ..... but the vast majority (98% ??) of us just have fun paying, enjoy the sights & sounds, ... and learn to remain focused while dealing with distractions, and to compete with our best composed efforts.

It's hard to know if someone is serious when they "rag" on you or if it is just the adrenaline from between the lines, and if they are seriously personal then they may have more to deal with than you, apparently. All part of the game and the experience. Life isn't always fair, or nice, and sports help us cut our teeth and learn to deal and overcome on the way to our goals. Learning experience.
