Does anyone know or know where to find what the addmission is going to be there?

I checked their flyer and it said nothing about admissions. Unless someone knows different, it might be free.

It has not been free in the past. It might depend on where you play.

I bet its $20 a person for a weekend pass. I think that is what it was last year.

I am going to request that OFC not only post the tournament cost, but the gate or parking fee as well. Just when I think I have found a good tournament at a good value, I find the hidden fees later. This is starting to tick me off and it will be a factor next year. I'd rather have the fee "all inclusive" rather than pass on unexpected expenses.

The Valley Storm puts on several tournaments every year and None have parking fees or Entry fees and our food and drinks are very cheap.
$1.00 dogs, $2.00 burgers, $.50 pop and $1.00 gatorades, etc.

Those fees are just a hidden way of raking in several thousands of dollars to get you in the gate so they can rake in several more thousands of dollars on food and drink. Not to mention Parking fees also.

For the family's sakes, I'd feel alot better about higher tournament fees up front instead of entry fees. Food, let them charge whatever, that's a personal choice. Parents pay a huge amount for organizational fees, hotels, equipment, gas, and so on. To be hit at the door with more expenses is a slap in the face. Yes I understand higher tournament fees would translate to higher team fees, but that's all up front. I've had family or friends express interest in watching my dd for a game, maybe two on a weekend, but I've actually discouraged them, not wanting them to PAY to be supportive.

I have never been to a softball tournament that did not charge gate or parking fees. For Thunder Road's idea to work, everyone would have to change their tournament entry fees. Those who change their team entry fees alone would get no entrants.

My other dd plays s*occer and the team entry fees are around $600-700 and there are no entry or gate fees. I have figured it out and in the end, the cost to the family is almost the same but it is such a sticker shock to owe her player fees all completely up front when we owe the big check at one time. Honestly, I'd rather pay the gate fees a little at a time.

Why pay gate or as you would say addmission fees don't most T'DS pay to rent the diamonds? Why would the city or county charge extra over and above what they charge to rent the fields to the T'DS. I think it's the people puting on the tournament's trying to get rich.Just charge the entry fee's and be done with it I do not charge for addmission it would not be fair.We also charge $ 1.00 for Hot dogs $2.00 for schreaded chicken $ 2.00 walking tacos $ 1.50 for gatorades.I'ts just up to TD's on what they charge.

Well Beanery, there's a few that don't, Beavercreek for instance. Great facility, great food reasonably priced, no parking or admission. Popular place on the tournament trail. When I'm scheduling my Irish team for tournaments, I'm not looking at the entrance fee. I'm looking for the competition and facility. No admission fees would make it look that much more attractive. At a minimum, keep the family admission to a $20 bill for the weekend.

Up front costs would be honest. If it was rolled into entry fee I, for one, would appreciae it.
