At the Gahanna MS South, Pic Lakeview game tonight the ump got the deciding call right. It was a good game that went 9 innings and a base runner got injured going into second. Gahanna was out of subs and put previous batter on second.
According to the rule 3:8 If team is playing with 9 and there are no available subs when a runner advancing on an awarded base or after reaching base is unable to continue.
a. the previous batter not on base is allowed to replace that player as a temp. runner untill she is put out, scores or the half inning ends.
She scored the winning run giving Gahanna a quality win that the girls fought hard for. I think the coaches need to get the rules right when they are yelling at the umps.
