The last open clinic and tryout for the USA Softball Region 2 Team for the All-American games is Sunday March 24th at the Billy Dome in Alliance.
We are still looking for talented 12U athletes that will help us compete in OKC in June. Last year's team went to the finals against teams from all over the country. It was an awesome experience for the athletes and their families.
The clinic is open to any 10U and 12U athlete that wants to better their knowledge and skills. The tryout is for the high level athlete that wants to be considered for the region 2 team that will represent Ohio and West Virginia. Top athletes will be invited back to a final tryout that will take place in April. www.aspirehighersports.com
CLINIC INCLUDES:
INSTRUCTION: Hitting, bunting, base running, footwork, throwing, and fielding.
Instruction from former college players and coaches teaching the game to future softball stars. Learn the fundamental skills from those who have played and coached at the highest level.
INSTRUCTORS:
· Karen Linder, retired Ashland University and KSU coach with 800 college career victories and 12 championship titles, owner of Aspire Higher Softball, Grand Slam instructor, coach of the USA All American Games Region 2 OH/ WV team.
· Sheilah Gulas, retired Ashland University head coach and NFCA Hall of Famer with 900 college career victories and coach of the USA All American Games Region 2 OH/WV team.
· Bill Hileman, head of the Maddogs Organization, developed and coached several outstanding athletes who played collegiately at all levels
· Kelli Metzger, manager and instructor for the Maddogs Organization, University of Akron All American
