When dd was playing 12U I called her pitches. Back then she could just blow it by most batters she faced, but of course I had to occasionally call a changeup -- being totally honest, I probably called more than I had to, but sometimes it's just more fun to strike em out on changeup. Anyway, my pitch calling did drive some of the coaches/dads a little crazy (in a good nature way), so dd's coach got in the habit of telling me before EVERY game, "No assing around, Nicholson!" and a username was born.

I need a new name. Mine is boring.

Was just the only thing I could come up with while frustrated at trying to set up the account! I am not known for originality.

Mine is very boring!! I am really not a sad individual. My initials are S=Shelley A=Ann and D=DeAmicis. Funny huh? Not. and the 627 is my birthday.

I may have to change my name, because I have the most boring screen name evah!! ;&

At least your has your birthday, mine is just initials

For me, just initials and name. But when I started creating email addresses and IDs for other web sites a few years ago, raellis was often taken. So I added 123 figuring there weren't 123 of us, plus it was a simple number to remember. I now use raellis123 whenever I can so I always know my username.

LOL---I'm one of those dorks who has to try and figure out what that vanity plate on the car in front of me is saying.

When I saw your username, I thought you were calling yourself a "no a$$ nerd".

I didn't know if you were bragging or complaining. ;)

From Wikipedia: The Merlion is an imaginary creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. Its name combines "mer" meaning the sea and "lion". The fish body comes from Singapore's ancient name back when it was a fishing village "Temasek" meaning "sea town" in Javanese. The lion head represents Singapore's original name "Singapura" meaning "lion city" or "kota singa" in Sanskrit and Malay.

I chose this as a reminder of the time my family and I spent in Southeast Asia in the late 90's-early 00's. I was on assignment for the company I was working for at the time, and their Asia-Pacific office was located in Singapore. We lived not that far away in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and I travelled back and forth frequently.

If you like low 90's with high humidity year round, you'd be very happy over there. We were. I think it got down to 74 one night. BRRRRR!!!

Who doesn't like low 90's with high humidity? We played in Florida and that's the way it was at 8:00 in the morning. Sweating doing nothing but sitting in the shade. Good stuff.

If I recall correctly, you were too thick to figure out that Gopher the K meant "go for the K" his dd being a pitcher. Apparently your memory isn't much better! Lol.

Bill---is that a pic with you and Ralphie May???

Yes! We saw him Friday night at the Improv in Cleveland and it was AWESOME!!
