Buckeye Heat 93 won the USFA State Championship tournament in Zanesville in a 5-0 game over a team from Philo.
The Heat defeated Holly Hills by a score of 1-0 to get to the championship game, and beat the Dover All-Stars (11-0) earlier that day. They won their morning elimination game 17-2 (I believe it as against West Muskingum.)
In pool play, the team was 2-0-1, with a 0-0 tie against the Lady Rage and shutout wins over Strasburg Tigers (5-0) and the Mid-Ohio Thunder (10-0).
For the weekend - the team posted a 6-0-1 record, and scored 49 runs while giving up only two.
Thanks to the tournament hosts and to all the other teams for great competition.
