Thanks Gannon,
I am not sure which 12U teams were in it, But I remember a few. They played the Bustos Ultimates, Heath Crush and an EMR Purple team but not sure who else. As far as the 16U, the Buckeye Heat-Rosshirt team, West Virginia Crush, Oakland Michigan Sidewinders, and 13 other teams attended cannot remember them all.

Congrats to all the teams at Pastime Park. Look for a tournament in Wilmington, Ohio on Aug 17th - 19th. Should be a shootout there, Little Lady Quakers" Sportsfest.

was this a real world series or just a tourney called the world series? I could not find any information about it on the national USSSA site.

This was an awesome tournament, and our team had a blast. It is considered a World Series, and they hand out World Series trophies (they look the same as the ones on the USSSA website). I was told that the tournament is intended for teams who do not wish to make long trips to a national tournament and would still like the experience of a World Series.

There weren't tons of teams in all the age brackets, but there was enough to give all the teams a great time. I saw teams from Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. There may have been other states represented.

For us it was a tuneup before going to nationals this week. I would definitely recommend this tournament as one to attend.

Very Fun Tournament :)
As luvthegame said, it is a sanctioned USSSA World Series intended to be a closer World series for those teams who don't wish to drive to Florida, or elsewhere.
Great awards and Very Well ran. Thanks Dave for a great weekend of softball.

I think that it may have been a sanctioned WS qualifier but under the USSSA's national site it is not listed anywhere as a World Series national event. They have been holding this tournament for a few years down in Cincinnati for teams that were not traveling to a true World Series National tournament. I think that it s a good thing that they do it because it gives those teams somewhere to play that weekend while all of the other teams are away at the National events.

Congrats to the Storm team.

It was a good time for the girls. Great weather the entire weekend also.
Very well ran (except that the fields hardly ever got re-lined).
They even announced the girls names and #'s as they came up to bat in the Championship Game, and when they made a great play they announced that also.
We enjoyed it. Not really sure how many 12U teams were there, but I think the 16U had 15 Teams or so from about 3 or 4 states.
The 18U World Series in Harrison is this weekend.

Actually the 18U and 18Over World Series National was held last week at the following locations:

18U Open Shawnee KS
18U B East Columbus Indiana
18U West Pioria AZ
18U Major Shawnee KS
18Over A&B Rokford ILL

Other then that I do not think that USSSA is holding any other World Series this coming weekend. I think that this may be a local qualifier.
