Don’t be fooled by the high price…….

For example our Valley Extreme price tag is $350 no more discussion! Every team reaps the lower cost benefit of our entry fee. Wait, for that one team in each age group that wins we do not offer that “ONE” paid berth…..we truly are sorry! We believe on a lower cost for all the participating teams. If you host 65 teams at $75 extra, minus your five paid berths…..well you can do the math…..who really wins here?

Our individual 1st place trophies are ~$7.00, which is about a “wash” if we were to replace the trophies with championship t-shirts. I’m not sure who charges $15 for a t-shirt, but not somebody the Valley Extreme would use.

Thanks for all the support (IM's, e-mails, & phone calls) and see you all in June!

Most teams want value for their entry fee and want to play. We have already stated the facts that we are the most economical tournament in NE Ohio, and that we have four fields with tarps to assure play.

One more thing that the Valley Extreme tournament offers is trying to play as many innings in each game as time allows. To do this over the years we have worked with the umpires to understand where time is lost. And to be honest, it is lost due to throwing the ball around between innings and not being ready to go. If you figure five minutes between inning, times five innings, you have just lost two innings of play time.

At Valley Extreme tournaments the umpires will instruct your team in the following:

To start the game:
• At the start of the 1st inning of each game, the home & away team will be allow to throw the ball around in the infield and outfield.
• Pitcher gets 5 pitches to start

After the 1st inning:
• No balls for the infield and outfield
• Pitcher gets only two pitches

During the game:
• Umpires will require catcher's to keep their leg guards on between innings
• Unless batting, base running, bathroom break, or medical need

So come and check out the Valley Extreme were you play for less, play period (tarps), and play more innings.

See you all in June!

OK..after getting numerous requests for accepting a deposit, the Valley Extreme has decided to accept a $100 deposit.

We understand fundraising, the tough economic times, buying uniforms, indoor practice rentals, all which weigh heavy on when to send in tournament entry fees. The balance of our $350 entry fee ($250) will be due no later than April 29th, 2011. After April 29th, the $100 deposit will be non-refundable.

See everyone in June!

Hi greg,
Hey John Frank is an 14u team. I am checking with my Florida girl (pitcher) she may be back up here for that date. If so count us in. My other two pitchers may still be in High School ball; as soon as I find out I will send the check if all is well

Remember the Valley Extreme will reserve your team's spot for $100 deposit. This tournament at $350 is the cheapest ASA ENQ tournament in NE Ohio.

The questions have come up regarding “background checks” and “Ace Certification”. Per our ASA Representative….any adult coaching inside a dugout is required by ASA to have had a “background check”. Also, ASA requires that at least one adult on your team have “Ace Certification”.

The Valley Extreme Tournaments “WILL NOT” be requiring verification that these two items have been completed.

Keep the questions coming…

CORRECTION, CORRECTION, CORRECTION

Per a recent conversation with our ASA State Director (Warren Jones) the requirements for "Background Checks" and "Ace Certification" for 2011 has changed!

BACKGROUND CHECKS

All adults that will be in your team's dugout "MUST" have a background check, and these adults will need to be registered during the tournament check in process. ASA will be providing these adults with a certification document (card) that verifies that the adult has passed a background check. A copy of this verification will need to be handed into the tournament director during the registration process prior to your team's first game. These are the ONLY adults that are permitted inside your team's dugout!

ACE CERTIFICATION

Each ASA team must have at least one team representative that has Ace Certification. This representative "MUST" be present in the dugout throughout each played tournament game. A background check is an element in the registration for the Ace Certification. ASA will be providing these adults with a certification document (card) that verifies that the adult has passed the Ace Certification process. A copy of this verification will need to be handed into the tournament director during the registration process prior to your team's first game.

If you have any additional questions please contact your local ASA Representative. Sorry for the confusion.
