I'vereceived a few emails stating that teams did not receive the pool games or can't find the teams entered in the tournament.

If you haven't received the pool play, contact me immediately after you check your spam.

If you have received it, there are two tabs on the spreadsheet. "Teams" & "Pool Play". Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you have any questions, please email or call me.

Thanks,

Nicely run tournament. It was nice having two umpires in pool play and facility was kept clean. Please post any final results as they come in.

A great big Thank You from Dirt Dawgs 10u. It was very obvious the amount of thought and effort that was put into this tournament to make it one of the best we've ever attended! The entire Vikings organization is full of top notch people - we can't wait to return next year. :)

Only know about 12U and 10U.

12U: New Albany Eagles beat Thunderchix 5-3.

10U Thunderchix won. Don't know who they played.

Personally - I thought the 10U brackets left a little to be desired. It really didn't make sense. Our team played 3 pool play games and were the #1 seed in their pool. However, one of the teams we played in pool play was also a #1 seed for their pool (I thought you normally on played teams from your pool in pool play??). Then - got to bracket play and played 2 of the same teams we played in pool play. This should not happen when there are 12 teams in a division. Congrats to the Thunderchix for taking the win. They are a very talented and well coached team who played well all weekend.

Thank you for all the compliments. I had alot of great help from the coaches & parents within our organization. I understand and take responsibilty for the mess up on the brackets. All I can do is apologize at this point. I hope that all enjoyed the atmosphere and thought the facilities were sufficient. Feel free to post anything you would lile to change and our committee will look at it.

The tournament director had the opportunity to fix his 10U bracket play error and made the conscious choice not too. Allowing team coaches to decide who they wanted to play when the error was revealed is equally disheartening. Aren't we trying to teach our daughters that integrity and honesty are more important than a "W"? In the future, I would hope that mistakes are corrected while it still mattered. On a positive note, the fields were awesome. The parent volunteers were great. Congratulations to the Thunder Chix! They played outstanding ball.
