Ex.- Girls hits three run homer. Her next at bat gets hit by a pitch. Can see refuse to take her base and continue her at bat? Did not happen just to much caffine before bed.

Good question. This was actual situation with my DD in Jr. High ball. She gets plunked by a slow change up and then tries to ignore the umpire like it never happened. She does not like to walk at all. She did have to go to first on the play.

LOL the classic ignore the ump strategy! I coached a kid like that, she got drilled in the back and she told the ump it didn't hit her. One of my all time favorite kids to coach.

You can't refuse the base...when you gotta go, ya gotta go!

Well, I guess you could refuse to go to first, but you could get yourself called out for abandoning your effort to run the bases and possibly ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct.

It's probably your best option to take the base when you're told to!
