Loudonville did a great job getting the fields ready to play.....I HATED cincinnati (tealtown) States....it was terrible..they only had three ppl (teenagers i might add) working the fields...and those teenagers weren't very well behaved

Any park that allows us to bring in our own drinks and food--
Berliner Park in Columbus was a favorite this summer, even after heavy rains, they got the fields in shape quickly! Rotary Park in Beavercreek is another good one!

Both of these parks have lots of grass, flush toilets and decent snack bars.

We played in Aunt Rosies in Amhearst NY. It was a very nice complex with alot top do in the surrounding area, but the best part is there is only 1 age division per weekend

I'd take 2 pool games with double elimination over 3 pool & single elim. Reasonable concessions, a play area for younger siblings & covered picnic areas were all plusses this summer.

Uncle Stans had no parking fee and no admission fee and you got a BIG FAT DOG for $1.50

But the sight of an umpire being carted to his game with his pressed shirt still on the hanger represents the way Compuware was run. One pitch, no infield balls, all business. And then to show a human side a mom from each team rolled a ball from home plate and the closest to the pitching rubber was home team. Other than the state we were in, that was my favorite tournament.

I was at both and I agree completely. Both were great tourneys. Of course, Uncle Stan's not collecting fees could be the reason that they didn't empty the port-a-johns. Maybe they couldn't afford it! LOL :yahoo:

The Poland Pride put on a great tournament this spring. It rained, it hailed and we have a picture of a funnel cloud. But we still played every game. The grounds crew was amazing. On with the tarps, off with the tarps. Can't wait to go back next year. Hopefully they will have the tornado shelters done by then.

For what we all Pay to do this ... Aint NO way we should have to PAY to get in. Don`t Care what Price tag you put on it ! Get creative to generate Funds from those who come . Not an Admission fee. Geez and some Idiot in Niles... Chased my wife down In a 4 wheeler... asking for $$ , and she had already paid... but the Car in front was asking directions so the Attendant waved her around. This jerk thinks she "Crashed the Gates" Chases her down on the Yamaha...or whatever it was...Then didnt EVEN Apologize when he discovered he was wrong.... Lucky I didn't see it, I was coaching. Talk about Idiotic. And its a Public park to boot. What if she was just coming in to Sit at a Picnic table and enjoy the park...??? I Hope who ever did that, is reading this. Cuz dude That was wrong.

just another shoutout for the Marion Summer Rebellion...it was a PONY sanctioned tourney that has been drawing better and better talent every year...not to mention a very dedicated working staff...with the rain that place got on Friday, for them to even HAVE games was something...no porta-grosses, a taco salad/walking taco to die for and relative easy access to all fields
