what's the best camera for...

OK. I'm too agravated to continue looking on the net so I'm going to ask you guys what the best camera there is out there for softball/volleyball. I need a camera with a fast shutter and good zoom for the two sports. However, I need this camera to be < $400. Any ideas? I know we have some picture happy people on this board. Help me out here.

I purchased a Olympus E-500 camera that came with two lenses at Sam's club for $699.00 and I love it. I can take a picture of my daughter swinging all the way through. It has a very fast shutter speed. I also use it for my sons football games. I love the camera.

A Nikon N-75 with a 28-300 zoom lens. Was about 400 if my memory is correct at Cord Camera. It was one of their packages. We knew nothing about "real cameras" before buying and after a 15 minute lesson at the store it is amazing the shots the Mrs. gets. They actually have a class you can go back for as part of the purchase that we never used. Very easy, point and click, action or still settings and even I can use it and I'm technically impaired with gadgets like this.

Best purchase we ever made. She gets the pictures and hands them out to the other moms to keep.
