When Are your kids done with School

I just received a pool/bracket schedule for an upcoming tournament the first weekend in June. I was shocked to see games starting as early as 2:00 on Friday. . .I still have kids in school or on their last day of school. How many other teams are seeing pool plays the first weekend in June being set so early on a Friday?

Concerns me because many of the players I have major test on Friday and might have to be pulled from school to play or we will have to forfeit the first game.

Thoughts . . .

This is why our coach has 13 players at 16U this year. We have 3 not going to IUP tourney next weekend because they will still be in school on Friday. I'm not sure if they will be joining us Saturday.

Well, this won't effect us this year, but our dd's last day is June 5, the same day as the Summer classic in North Ridgeville starts, so unless she has a game that starts at 2 on Friday, we're OK.

Our school won't be finished until June 8, a Monday. Next year we will start on August 23, a Friday. Seems as if the days are reversed

A few of our kids don't get out until June 11th. They start late bc of the county fair:rolleyes:. Luckily, we don't have any Friday games before that.

Our kids were scheduled out on May 22 but had to go May 26 for a make-up day.

Does anyone remember when WE got out right before Memorial Day and started back after Labor Day? Those were the days!

Friday is our last day.

Not criticizing anybody, but I don't think kids should be pulled from school for a non-school related softball game. Or at least I wouldn't do it.

Wouldn't pull mine if she was missing a real class. All she missed was studyhall.

Today is our last day, but I have a problem with 2:00 Friday afternoon games. Most parents I know have to work to support their dd softball hobby and I can't take off every Friday. Friday evening games are not a problem but during the work day? Let's get real!

Based on my kids grades and attendance records, I'd pull mine in a heartbeat as long as no tests are scheduled! (good grades and good attendance deserves a skip day every now and then or a family day:yahoo:)
However school is done Friday and I wont have to worry about it!;&

At this time of the year the teachers aren't teaching anyway. I'm sure they didn't or wouldn't miss much. IMHO ;&

We haven't been and won't be affected by Friday afternoon games until school is out. My kids go until June 11th. They don't go back until after Labor Day for the County fair but they also get that useless Easter Break off...the full week.
