Where are all the 10u players?

Back in `06 and `07 the scene and talent for 10u ball was outstanding all around the state. Big number of teams in the 10u division for the tournaments and some very talented girls. Yeah you had some weaker teams, but you saw many strong and well coached teams for such a young age back then. 10u was a good draw for tourny directors then.
Now these girls are now ready to start their 1st year or 2nd year in 14u ball

Exactly LakeErie, I hope this trend reverses before it cascades through all the age groups.

I believe another point to make about this subect is that, some local communities do not support "travel" softball. My 10 DD is playing travel ball for the first time and absolutely loves it. But for the most part, I found it very difficult to get any information at all regarding travel ball. It's not that local rec clubs don't know about it (they do!) they are concerned about their own league and what that would mean for them, loss of players leading to loss of funds, etc...
